Yesterday i travelled to Jerushalyim [ =Jerusalem] , and saw several ladies with the Most Beautiful hats !!!! of course i leaned close enough to see ,,, It was a very plain cut for a hat ,, middle circle with wide brim going a bit outwards as a A shaped skirt ,,, the Charm was on the 5 cm `under` the seam part, which was embroidered ,,, with Surface embroidery of flowers ,, in all colors going around the hat.

I saw 4 hats that seemed made of linen ,, and the embroidery was done with perle threads !!! 3 hats made of some other cottons and embroidery was with Moline threads ,in xst stich.

This might be the way to use up the nasty fabric and fibers from less expensive kits! The design wouldn't have to be intricate and since we know that the sunlight is gonna kill the embroidery after a season or three, it wouldn't matter that the materials are not of the best quality! AHHH -- disposable needlework for the disposable society.
